“Annual International Session of Scientific Communications” (Făgăraş Citadel)

For two days, on September 6 and 7, 2018, Făgăraş Citadel hosted events of a scientific nature devoted to events with local interest, especially to the promotion of the moment of the year in progress, the 100th anniversary of the Romanian Enlightenment through the Great Union of Alba Iulia.

Around 60 researchers, university professors, museographers and restorers took part in the seventh edition of the “Annual International Session of Scientific Communications”, organized by  ,,Valer Literat” Făgăraş Country Museum. Specialists from all over the country, including the Republic of Moldova, presented works related to the Centenary of the Great Union, as well as works centered on old, medium, modern or contemporary history.

If on the first day 12 book launches took place, among them “Great Photographers from Transylvania. XIX-XX centuries” (Baia Mare, Eurotip Publishing House, 2018), a work published under the aegis of the Maramureş County Museum of History and Archeology, in the series “Bibliotheca Marmatia”, the second day was reserved for the presentation of the exhibition and the film made by the “Ştefadina” Association, which evoked the great event in the history of the Romanian people, the anniversary of a century from the completion of the Great Romania.
