European Photo Exhibition – “European Romania – A Consequence of the Great Union from 1918”, Brussels

On Wednesday, April 25, 2018, starting at 10:00, in the European Parliament Building from Brussels held thematic exhibition of archive documents, letters, photographs and newspapers of the events that marked the destiny of Romania 100 years ago, The National Integration Act signed in Alba Iulia on 1 December 1918.
At this moment were present prestigious speakers, researchers and historians, presenting to the public the international context, the movement of ideas and the political actions undertaken during 1918 by the leaders of the Romanian parties from Bessarabia, Bucovina, Transilvania, Banat, Crişana and Maramureş, who led to the union of these regions with the Kingdom of Romania.
About the Great Union of 1918, as a result of the national mobilization of all Romanians, as well as about the European and international context of the time, several specialists from the field spoke: Prof. dr. Ioan Opriş, Prof. dr. Gheorghe Onişoru, Prof. dr. Gheorghe Sbârnă, dr. Ionuţ Cojocaru, dr. Florian Bichir, dr. Lucian Dindirică, dr. Ioan Talpeş.
On this occasion, the participants could also attend the presentation of the books dedicated to the anniversary moment, the publications exhibited being part of the collection ROMANIA. Great Union 1918-2018. 100 books. Ioan Scurtu coordinator.
